BALLOON FLIGHTS

Mudgee was made for ballooning! With its rolling hills, surrounding mountains and beautiful valley, conditions are perfectly suited for hot air ballooning. Mudgee hot air ballooning adventures begin at sunrise and are generally scheduled for the first Saturday of each month. Meeting at Blue Wren Wines on Ulan Road, balloon flights are approximately one hour in flight duration and are followed by a delicious champagne breakfast following the flight.

ATTRACTIONS

The Great Dripping Wall is a large natural sandstone formation situated on the Goulburn River near Ulan via Mudgee. The Drip is a popular spot for bushwalking, swimming, camping, painting and photography.

The track is relatively flat and easy, sometimes single file only, 2.4km return walk along the river bed ducking and weaving amongst the ferns, wombat holes, overhanging rocks, through small rock caves with magnificent scenery in every direction. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!
